Lydia Nibley is an award-winning producer, director, writer, script doctor, and creative consultant for film (feature and documentary), books (fiction and nonfiction), and series (scripted and unscripted).
She produces for her company RIDING THE TIGER PRODUCTIONS and collaborates with colleagues, publishers, and production companies on their projects.

On The Screen
Lydia develops and refines scripts to make them more culturally relevant and commercially viable. She is known for adding rich layers to plots and interconnected character storylines.
Honors include:
- PBS Audience Award, and GLAAD award nomination for best documentary for TWO SPIRITS.
- Parents’ Choice, Clio, regional Emmys.
- Monette-Horwitz Distinguished Achievement Award.
- Numerous film festival awards for a variety of projects.
Recent Riding The Tiger projects include:
- An original feature currently in casting.
- Creation of an international documentary in pre-production.
- Development of a non-scripted series concept and treatment.
- Writing an original pilot script and show bible for a dramatic series.

- A ghostwritten adaptation of a book to a screenplay.
- Creative consulting on a film series.
- Supporting concept development for a series.
- A script revision for a dramatic feature.
- A plan for a reverse adaptation of a theatrical film to a novella.

Lydia’s ghostwriting and developmental editing on 27 books to date has produced several award-winning and New York Times bestselling fiction and nonfiction books.
She is at work on a book titled, “STORY POWER” based on content she shares in speaking engagements and seminars.
Recent confidential collaborations with publishers and colleagues include:
- A book and media project for children with a detailed impact plan.
- A small memoir expanded to include multiple characters and flipped into a larger work
- Ghostwriting a novel.
- Consulting on a narrative nonfiction project with documentary film potential.

On The Stage
Lydia speaks, teaches, and leads workshops on STORY POWER and transformational storytelling nationally and internationally.
